About Kathy
Kathy J. Wulf holds certifications as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. Since 2004, she has practiced in Emergency Departments of Critical Access Hospitals in rural Iowa, Nebraska, and Montana. Kathy is a retired assistant professor from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing where she developed a program to prepare Nurse Practitioners to work in rural hospitals.
She received her master’s degree from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Kentucky.
Kathy received the Nebraska Distinguished Nurse of the Year, from the March of Dimes Award in 2009 and the Frank L. Cole Nurse Practitioner Award, from the Emergency Nurses Association in 2012.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time at home in Iowa, where she has a small lavender farm, honey bees, and chickens.
